Our vision is to see girls all across the country be restored through gospel-centered long term residential care.
It started in Texas and now we are following God's leading to see a house established in Central Virginia

Virginia Directors

Jimmy and Cindy Thompson

Jimmy and Cindy are passionate about investing in young lives for God's glory. Jimmy has viewed his coaching high school girl's basketball for the past 17 years as a true mission. He has been involved in various ministries including FCA and AXIOM Sports.

In the spring of 2014 Jimmy and Cindy heard Steve Singleton and Kasey Van Norman speak at Ridgeview Baptist Church about human trafficking. They needed to know more so they drove to Texas to see the work first hand. It was then they realized their True Mission.

Jimmy and Cindy were married August 21, 1981. They have one daughter, Katrina, a graduate of Liberty University. After 24 years in the banking business Cindy took early retirement and went to work for Chick-fil-A where she enjoys the Christian environment and working along side young people.

Jimmy and Cindy were both born and raised in Rockbridge County Virginia and now live in Stuarts Draft. Jimmy serves as Director of True Mission Virginia. Their passion is to establish a residential facility here in Central Virginia and see God use it to provide long-term gospel-centered care to girls rescued from human trafficking.

The Work

WHO?

We are a program partnered with STREET RANSOM for minor girls who have been rescued from human trafficking here in the United States.

WHAT?

We offer long-term hope and healing to these girls through a safe, gospel-centered environment and the opportunity to attend and graduate through high school.

WHEN?

{TrueMission} is more than just a long-term program. We are a family that supports the children in our care through high school and beyond as they transition into adulthood.

WHERE?

Our vision is to see recovery homes across the country, first in Central Virginia, specifically in the Shenandoah Valley region.

WHY?

We believe no child should remain in crisis. With humble hearts we see a global crisis of children who are homeless, abused, traded and forgotten. With audacious love we believe it is our duty to act on their behalf.

The Need

prayer support

Nothing of eternal significance has ever happened apart from prayer.

Pray for:

  • God’s leading to make wise choices

  • God’s providing for all the needs

  • God’s protection over the girls in crisis right now

spread the word

{TrueMission} is not an awareness campaign. We are in it for the long haul for the sake of the girls today living with no hope. But a ministry like this needs the support of people from this area. Consider sharing this ministry with your pastor, your friends and others.
